This is why I don't make plans...

So someone here was talking about drive-in movie theaters the other day, and I mentioned one was about 20 miles from me but I hadn't gone for years.
Then I found out the new version of Stephen King's 'It' was playing there this weekend.
Kewl!!!
So I decided to go see it tonight.
And then this afternoon my youngest brother calls me and says he has two tickets to the Blues At The Crossroads festival in Terre Haute Indiana if I wanted to go.
Well...so much for planning to go to the drive-in tonight.
But the festival was sweet.

I'll take live music over a movie anytime.

Turned out I knew the guy running sound, had to stop by the booth and say a quick 'Hi' to him.
Didn't try to actually have a conversation...one of my pet peeves is when I am working a gig and someone keeps wanting to talk to me...most people don't understand that I'm doing a lot more than just sitting there.

It is good to have choices and to get to do one of them. We had a plan for today, then the mechanic said he would bring the car home that he has, so we stayed home. He is now not coming and here we sit.

if it's going to play for several more days/weekends, then you can go on those days

It'll be closing for the season soon, plus they show a different movie each weekend...I'll probably just wait and watch it on TV.
Maybe I'll do the drive-in next year if anything good is at it.

Sounds like a good time, hopefully the movie will be at the drive in for a while and you can still make it there.

I remember somebody mentioned the drive-in movie theaters in a post ,where you can watch the movie in your car.The the Blues At The Crossroads festival was more appealing to you than the drive-in.

At least you had a good time at the festival. When I was little there were still drive-ins in upstate New York and I loved it when anyone took us kids to the drive-in.

well... it was called a win-win situation. yet I prefer Stephen King's "IT" over festival.
