My cold symptoms continue to increase. Hey, I will take that over a hurricane any day. As I can I will monitor here and see about friends. For my cold symptoms I took a steamy shower with essential oils to inhale. I wish it was that simple for people hit with fires, earthquakes and hurricanes. My problems are simple, and I hope others are safe, and warm and cared for.

We certainly do hope that the disaster won't be as bad as predicted.

Even a little damage is bad enough, though.

Yes and I am feeling better today Heather..hope your cold symptoms subside. I have been seeing all the videos of people in FL that decided not to evacuate. Amazing.

Hope your cold goes away soon. I just read an article that says there is a virus out there that mimics allergy symptoms. I hope that is not what you have. Feel better.

I hope your cold doesn't get too bad. They can make a person feel rotten to be something so simple.

I had recurring colds for six weeks straight last year. I do blame some of it on the ventilation system. I think they get germy and we just absolutely share everything, then.

Very hard to avoid colds if you are working in a school. I usually get immune eventually.

My mom used to set a pan of water with some Eucalyptus oil in it. Yes, I hope the ones in the storm are okay.

May I suggest zinc ("Zicam" or a generic equivalent)? It chopped my cold's symptoms and severity in half. The only side effect for me is a mild headache if I take too many too quickly. Get well quickly, and prayers for the people in Florida.

I have zinc. Sometimes it works, other times not. I will have to check my supplement drawer and find it.

Hope you feel better soon. I do hope all our friends here are safe. It's been very scary lately and Irma is especially scary.

I have similar problem here, re: cold symptoms. In my case, only because the weather here has been bad, too cold with constant rains. Hope you get better soon (mine might be cured by an antihistamine pill).
