Introducing Myself To Newbies And Oldies Alike

I decided I would introduce myself. Some may not know me although I have been a member of Mylot for about eight years now.
I am a sixty five year old southwestern Idahoan. I enjoy writing, vintage movies and riding my mountain bike. I was diagnosed in about 2005 with severe depression with panic attacks. Soon after that I took a early retirement and went on SSI.
I am devoted to my family. I have commited to living here with my bi-polar daughter and helping her raise her son. He is 14 and has ODD.
I also have a granddaughter who has blessed me with three great grandchildren.
I challenge you to introduce yourself. Even if you have been a member for a while you might be surprised at how many new folks don't know you yet.

This is wonderful and a great challenge. I will keep an eye out and see how many people will do this. Right not this weekend will be packed full for me and i don't have time. Maybe after Wednesday of next week I can do this one. Not sure and no promises on my end. Sorry my BF just got in from his work on another island and we have a lot to do in and around the home and for his work. He is only here for 4 days and has to go back.

Challenge accepted.
I live in Nebraska. Have 4 children (2 youngest have autism) and 4 grand daughters.
I joined mylot some 9 years ago (was amazed at that one), but left here for several years to concentrate on family.
I love games...computer, xbox (haven't bought a xboxone yet) and love online war games.
I logged back in here feeling a bit displaced in my new location so, well, here I am.

Which vintage movies are your favorites?
I also have severe depression with panic attacks. I took a medical leave from school a few years ago and haven't made it back.

My favorites are Harvey, The Enchanted Cottage, Penny Serenade, and Somewhere In Time. Just a few.
Sorry to hear you have the depression and panic attacks. I am glad my latest psychiatrist prescribed some meds that help both.

@spiderdust ......I can't take many of the medications I have tried due to the side effects. But, these I am taking now are doing a good job for me. I do agree that mental health is very complex and each person has their own needs.

@celticeagle I don't take any meds for it right now, and that seems to be working better for me currently. We tried a few things for a couple of years before coming to this decision. Mental health is such a complex, nuanced thing!

I will take this challenge as soon as I have time. I have been with my aunt for almost a week and have not done much mylotting. I love vintage movies too and think that new films are not as good as the now classics we saw some decades ago.
