Monsoon is Ended , but we get heavy rain last three days. The situation of our roads are very pathetic. There are many large potholes and riding it in night and rain is very difficult. Motorist make more time to pass through the potholes and normally causes heavy traffic jam and make the way for accidents. The authorities should make ace steps to repair it. Pic. Google.com

Heavy rain causes havoc with roads. This was written a while ago so I hope the situation has improved by now.

Rain not gone till. But decreasing the power of it. I agree the climate is a factor. But quality is also other factor. You can see the quality of the road in the picture.

@JudyEv yes and politicians always find a reason in rain to hide this main reason.

@shshiju Yes. If a road is not well made it will break up quickly.

I can't even imagine what a monsoon is like. I live so far north water is not usually dangerous. It rains and then it drys up without causing danger.

@shshiju I can imagine how much rain you must get, it must be hard to keep up with Mother Nature and the damages done. Our roads are fixed the moment a hole is discovered. - At least the heavily used roads are. The country roads are too but not as fast as the busy roads.

Monsoon is a climate season. Continuous rain makes damages the road soon.

That what happens when you don't use cement but tar on your roads. Probably they arely fix the roads over there.

In some of the areas paving tiles is too good rather than taring.

The situation of your roads does not look good at all. We had a lot of rain the past two days, but our roads have no problems.

I think your roads maintains the quality. Our roads are less quality one. Contractor make profits from the work Climate and rain is a factor but rubberised one is good.

@shshiju The contractors here must respect the standards, the local municipality send an engineer to check when the road is completed, if something fail, the contractor MUST re-do the work at his expenses.

We have potholes in spring after the ice melts. They can cause damage to vehicles

in our country, the road repairs are usually done during the rainy season, and i always wonder why can't they do that during summer time.
