Challenge - Tell You About Me

Okay, what can I tell you that you don't already know? At least the people who have been here for a while. For the newbies, let me introduce you to me.
1. I have three children - all adults - Son 44, Daughter 42, Son 39
2. I have five grandchildren ranging in age from 25-14 next month.
3. I have two great granddaughters ages 4 and 3
4. I have three books published - Scarred, Manifest Destiny, and Stowaway. Available on Amazon. I'm waiting not very patiently for Freedom's Cry to be published. I should hear soon from my editors who has someone reviewing it. I write Christian fiction.
5. I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA and I am an avid Packers football fan.
6. I'm the oldest of four children. My brother next to me in age passed two years ago. My parents passed soon after in 2015 and 2016.
7. I served in the Navy and even married a sailor. We divorced after 21 years. He passed two years ago, so now I'm a widow.
8. My hobbies are swimming, reading, writing, and being on the computer blogging on a site called myLot. Have you heard of it? 
9. I'm currently on the Whole30 diet as I need to lose a mega lot of weight. At my first weigh in I lost 16 pounds. My next weigh in is October 6.
10. And most important - I'm a Born Again Christian, 37 years. I love the Lord more than anything else in my life. My username reflects why I write - just for Him = just4him. All my work is dedicated to my Lord Jesus Christ.

@TiarasOceanView Thank you. I think this month is more of a challenge than the first month. Though I haven't cheated and have no intention of doing so. I love this diet and I don't miss any of the foods I can't have.

Enjoyed reading this about you. I guess you had mentioned your husband's passing before. Didn't know both your parents are gone now. Mine passed close to one another too. They had been divorced for years. Thanks for sharing.

Always nice to read a little more about those we are connected with. My husband lived in Wisconsin when he was younger. He wants to bring me there to visit one day. Not sure when, if ever that will happen.

@fishtiger58 I don't like the commercials, and I do hear a lot of negativity about how much the players make, but that doesn't put me off. I'm a Packers fan diehard.

@just4him Well I am a Bears fan but the last couple of years football is losing it thrill for me. It's all about the money and how many commercials during a game they can slam at me. I am almost done with football and never thought I would fee that way. I have been watching football since I was about 10 with my dad.

@spiderdust I'm not going off this until I get to my goal weight. I don't even want the foods you can't have. This is my second month on it and I love it. If I do put anything back on the menu when I gain my goal it will be cheese. That's it.

@just4him I did Whole30 in July and August, and I can tell a big difference in my energy levels since I've gone off it. I'm trying to make more Whole30-like meals without being strict about it, but I really need to up our vegetable consumption again.
