When Bubblews Closed

I came across an article the other day about Bubblews and its sad demise. And how some people from Bubblews possibly moved over to Mylot. I never got the chance to write on Bubblews and never earned money there, but I have heard some people managed to earn a fair bit and I think it's sad that there isn't another site like it; where you can make the same kind of money. If there was I'd be trying it out but of course it would still depend on your topic and how interesting people would find it.
Is there anybody here on this site who used Bubblews before? Do you miss? And have you found somewhere else that you are making a reasonable amount of money on?

The entire reason the bubble burst was because they were paying unrealistic amounts to people and mismanaging the site.

It is sad though that there is even such a thing as 'unrealistic amounts" for people who take the time and effort to write. I was not on Bubblews so I don't know the full story. But what do you consider unrealistic when it comes to someone who does take the time to write something and write it well?

@percyboots Well, myLot isn't a 'writing site' so I really couldn't tell you.
I think one should just be satisfied that they get anything at all to come here and socialize with people.
After all, this is not a job, so getting 'paid' isn't really a top priority to me, although I think it is nice.

@MALUSE Well it is too bad that the admins weren't very vigilant, and I'm sad for all the writers who loved it over there. Maybe if the admins had been more careful, perhaps it would still be around, I don't know though, it's not my place to stay. I find that there are people who clearly love to write, interact and who are not getting enough as far as I'm concerned.

@percyboots Naturally if another site opened paying at that rate than I would use it, but it would be only temporary.

@percyboots Temporarily because the site would soon have to close and therefore membership would automatically cease.

@Asylum But why only temporary, is that because you feel it would close down pretty fast and so you
wouldn't trust it?

I wrote there and then when I was about to cash out, boom! The bubble burst and I lost all my articles because I didn't think to save any of them sadly. No I do not miss it at all. Those people who ran the site were horrible scammers.

What do you mean by darkness? Was it the writing per say, or how people were using Bubblews? And I am sorry about you losing it, because I would have been really upset as well.

@SHOHANA Well I'm really sad about that. And I mean that. I love to write and I think many people on this site love to and to interact. I like this site, but not having a job, I wish I could earn, like I'm sure many people do, more money for doing something I love. Maybe I'm dreaming too much.

@percyboots I have been writing for HubPages for over 8 years. It is a money maker for me.

@HazySue That is awesome! I've been thinking about it. I started on HubPages but it was just a few short stories and I didn't get much response, so I haven't been active. I am now on Steemit-just started about a month ago.

I made bank on Bubblews for awhile. Then the payment structure changed, I didn't make nearly as much, so I stopped writing there. The funniest thing that ever happened there was when @freak369 earned like $2000 on one of her Candy Crush articles and Arvind kept trying to tap dance around having to pay it.

$2000.00 on one article!! Wow! The admins obviously didn't know what they were doing. Maybe they mean't well but it seems that it when out of control. I mean it would be nice to make $50 or something reasonable on an article. It's real bummer that it went under. Sometimes businesses go under because they grow too fast, and management can't keep up with.

I wrote in the 'b' site and got paid. However, I have two payouts that were unpaid. I know that more members had bigger unpaid amounts. If they do come back, the first thing on their 'to do' list should be paying all the legitimate members that they ripped off.

Bubblews was THE place to be at one time because it was so easy to earn. I must admit I earned quite a bit there and although many people complained they didn't get paid I always did. The biggest problem with the site was the constant crashing as it grew too big too fast and their server just couldn't cope. That was the reason I left in the end because it was so frustrating. You could actually lose posts if you sent one just as the site crashed.
I moved over to Chatabout (which has also gone now). I actually learned about it through Bubblews and stayed there for some years, I now post on ForumCoin where I have been for more than 2 years and I can't say I miss Bubblews at all..

I've been on Bubblews. Got paid every time except once when they had a glitch. Was supposed to get a bit over fifty bucks but never did. And when they shut down I didn't get what was in the bank because I hadn't reached the minimum. Wonder if they paid those that did reach the minimum. Their earnings program wasn't full proof. And there were people that were gaming the site to increase their earnings. That's what I heard anyway. I made a few hundred bucks there. And that's pretty low compared what many others were making there.

In all of my internet life I have not earned what I earned in nine months in Bubblews. I would have earned even more had I learned to follow its rules earlier.

And that is heart-breaking. I just wish there was somewhere to earn a reasonable amount for writing, but I guess so many people would like to do that.

I earned some money from Bubblews, but was so sad I still have much money that never got paid when it closed.
