Which option would you choose - views or earnings?

In an ideal world you get high views for content you post online and earn a good amount from it every month. Perhaps it is possible, but I have yet to make that happen for me.
So, when I write on a website, getting views, and lots of them, is more important to me than earning money. I want what I post to be read, not sit there unnoticed and in silence.
So, if I had a choice between publishing my writing on a site that brings high views but doesn't pay, and a site that pays but has low views, I'd choose the non-paying site.
Of course, I love being able to earn with my writing, or at least be given the opportunity to earn. I mean, who doesn't? Who would pass that up?
In some way views and earnings go hand in hand. The higher the views, the higher the chance to earn more, as low views usually translate into very low earnings.
The question is, how do you get lots of views for what you publish online? And how do you make that happen for creative pieces as opposed to informative ones? Usually people will search for informative things like "How to make a veggie omelet," for example, as opposed to "Poems about love and heartbreak". So how do you increase views to those creative pieces? You should be able to earn from them as well.

I want a good correlation between views and payouts for views. Of course we all want to be read, that's why we write aside from the personal satisfaction. And getting paid for doing something we enjoy doing is nice too. I get lots of views and earn "decently," but it's not enough to make a living from. But I sure wish I could. That would be awesome.

Everything I post online I want to be read and in big numbers. I’d also prefer a lot of comments on those things if a comment option exists. However, views are more important to me than comments. And of course, if I can earn from those posts and it be my main source of income that would be awesome, but for me, that’s not possible. Some people have blogs and they make good money with them. That’s never been the case for me.

@porwest It seems like my blogs get traffic but no comments to approve. Are those traffic stats on blogger accurate?

@lovebuglena It takes years to build a good audience, and for some, it never happens. There's just way too much competition for eyeballs.

Some writing I feel are interesting, they seem boring to others. So, it's all in luck, which ones are most popular. Money? I've never earned very much, from posting these writings. That's the reason I do it, to earn a little extra income.

I hate when that happens to me... Sometimes, I write something that I think is interesting, but then it seems others don't feel the same way.

@lovebuglena The instructions say, publish something that's very interesting! From my viewpoint, maybe 'yes' from the public's view, it will possibly be 'no.'

What people are into is different.. id prefer the poems post over the how to veggie one, myself.
It just depends on what others are into. Nothing we can really do.
