Noisy day / myLot

I was outside yesterday, picking stones out of the flower bed, and noticed an awful lot of air traffic overhead. I saw three WWII fighter planes fly over in formation and wondered "What's going on?" Later, I witnessed two jets engaging in aerial acrobatics. A neighbor told me that the CAF Snowbirds were putting on a show in Niagara.

There was a time we saw those often here, 3 or 4 going at the same time, something to do with the jets (I am real ignorant about this). Then they stop after having a few accidents.

Many years ago, a friend was in the stands at the airshow at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto when two jets collided. A little extra bang for the buck, pardon the pun.

Sounds like fun. I live kind of at the end of an airfield where folks zip from, practicing how to fly moosey planes. Sometimes the noise gets to be a bit much. Twice we've had sonic booms that shook the house.

I used to live in Richmond, BC, very near the airport and the night we saw Close Encounters, there was an atmospheric inversion, and a plane taking off sounded just like the mother ship hovering over our house.
