Does Aging Change Us?

When I saw this I laughed so hard. I am 66 and I don't thInk I have ever worn a bikini, however I could relate to this in some ways. I have a good sense of humor and the changes we go through as we age are sometimes hard to accept or look at. Anyway this made me laugh and I hope no one is insulted by this. All in fun.

@Hatley I never heard that expression, "age cages". That is so funny.

I can't stop laughing at the picture. I love it. I use to wear a bikini when I was a teenager. Now I have a problem wearing a regular bathing suit.

Lol, it is humorous but also a fact . We see a lot of celebrities and even others trying their level best to hold on to youthfulness often looking ridiculous. Why not let go and enjoy life instead of stressing yourself ?

Last week, I saw this woman in her 60s, looking exactly older than his age, but she was wearing a micro mini skirt. I asked my son who was seated next to me if it was ok with him for me to wear such a revealing dress when I get to that age. He stared at me as if I was a mad woman, and said, it would be very inappropriate.

I am aging gracefully. No surgeries just me. I did wear a bikini when I was young but gave it up around age 30. I refuse to allow my mind to get old so I use it daily Love the photo.

Change brings more things especially when you are old. You can imagine the day you had clad bikini but if you imagin yourself wearing it right now it will bring old memories.

The link for this post was in the sidebar on one of mine just now, so I came for a look. Ha, reminds me of some greeting cards we get for friends or family that are older. I was thinking that one wouldn't have to check out the adult sites they can just ogle your image, not that it's the same thing at all. I'm not offended and I would hope that a real person of that size and age would have thrown their bikini out long ago. For any readers that might be insulted, I'm sure they would be fine once they actually read your post. And, btw, I'm the same age.

For me yes aging has changed me in many ways. My health is not what once it was and I feel old inside and many times when I walk I feel old outside. I have not worn a bathing suit in ages.

This certainly made me laugh. I have looked at magazines where they show the different stages of a woman's body as she ages and what they show doesn't have to be. it is awesome how one can look with proper diet and exercise. I know someone who has kept her coco cola bottle shape into her sixties - and I aim to do that too.

I am yet to wear a bikini but i think somethings do not have to change as you age as long as they make you feel happy.I have a 55 year old friend who enjoys rocking her bikini and her body is well toned i think that gives her confidence to.

I'm a late bloomer, LOL. In some ways I look better now than years ago, but age happens to all of us!

If aging DOES NOT change us, we have to question what the heck we are doing. As I get older I LOVE the fact I care less what others think and do more that makes ME happy. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Love the cartoon! Yes, aging changes us - physically, mentally and emotionally. Whether those changes are for better or for worse is largely up to us.
