Happy Fall Ya'll

Yesterday was the first day of fall in my corner of the world. It doesn't really feel like it. There's a meme going around FB to the effect that autumn means nothing in Georgia because its still 90 degrees. I've always loved fall. There is something about the air. I always feel more electrifyed this time of year, ready to take on the world. But only if it stops being sweltering outside. Until the temperature drops it feels too much like summer. All around me people are getting excited about Halloween. My friend are all very Halloween loving people. So, how do you feel about fall? Happy to see it or sad to lose summer? What is your favorite thing about the autumn season?

This area is a desert so we have 2 seasons, the one that goes from cool to warm then hot and the one that goes from hot to warm to cool .... maybe this year we'll get a winter.

I woudln't hold my breath for a winter if I were you. I've never been in a desert. I've heard their is a big difference in the desert having a "dry" heat and the "wet" humid heat where I live.

Yes, you got that right @nonersays this is an El Nino year so it's been more humid than usual and it is possible we might get a real winter this time. Every few years or so we actually get 2 maybe 3 weeks of really cold weather and even snow sometimes. Yes, it is very different in the dry heat simply because it is easier to breath but here it is also imperative that you drink a lot of water and watch that the electrolytes are properly balanced.

Here it cooled down since the beginning of September. The days are shorter and the morning is dark when I get up. I love Fall, a lot more than Summer.

@nonersays The temperature is around 55 F in the morning here and no more than 75 during the day.

Yeah I know the feeling its still in the upper 80`s and low 90`s but its all good with me I like the summer. What I like about fall is the colors of the leaves and my garden.
