Running short of writing ideas in the middle of a writing assignment

Sometimes, we start on a writing assignment with big zeal. We start off well, with great idea. However, sometimes in the middle, we suddenly get short of ideas. We do not get a few things in order. Our mind starts getting a bit blank.
Or maybe, we just get a bit overcautious!
Well, it happened to me recently on an assignment.What I decided was to just finish the work, and later refine.
Do you also face such issue(s)?

@just4him I got out of it. I thought, let me write something even if it appears to be substandard, and I can later revise it and improve it.
I think at times, we just need to complete the first draft pretty quickly and revise, reform and refurbish from there on.
