Finally got my flu shot today.As I will be flying next week and want to protect myself.

I have never had a flu shot although at my age it is free and easy to have it.

@amadeo My immune system is less than great as my cancer is a lymphoma (that means an immune system that is working against me). But I am not sure if these shots will be accepted by my body.

No but I am thinking about it this year as last year I had two horrible flus and one was a stomach virus which was awful. I'll take that with my Vitamin C's which I will take twice a day starting soon- that helps with colds I find-

@MarymargII not for me.Been doing this for years and years with no effect.Except a sore are for a couple of days.
Many are afraid.But the side effect is rare.

I never get a flu shot, I have never had the flu. My mom at 102 has never had the flu either.

Allfredo, no we have no Walmart or Target here. I go to the clinic by where I live and the nurse gives it to me. One time I did not get it and I got the flu. When I get the shot I do not get the flu. I believe in the shots very much. I have also had a shot for pneumonia when I turned 65, but, that shot they only do once and I know people that had that shot and still got pneumonia. I usually get bronchitis or sinusitis in winter.
