Mistaken for the Other Woman.

Last week, I was busy preparing some stuff needed for my trip when I received a message from someone I didn't know. She was asking if I know someone by the name of this. Since I know the person, I said yes and ask her Why? Instead of answering me, she asks a lot of question and I think her intention is to know if I am the Other Woman of his so-called husband. She said that she is the wife of the person I know. Then she adds us in a group chat, all of us 3. And she was talking there asking her husband of who I am. But apparently, that friend message me personally and told me to ignore her because they are already separated and she wants his money. The man lives in Cavite while the so-called wife is in Mindanao and I don't know which part it is. As I know the man is living alone and have some food business and other business in Mindanao, like a mining company. He never shares anything about his marriage. By the way, the man is an American. He lives here in the Philippines more than 15 years I think. Did you happen to experience this? This is the first time for me. Photo grab from Google.com

For the past 10 years of being friends, we never saw each other personally. And he said he was separated and never seen him with his wife on his photos and he is living alone. He lives so far away from me. I guess I should do that from now on.

Something like this never happened to me, but I always avoided married men, even as friends. Men are different from women, they can never be "only" friends.

Yes, but ours is pure friendship. He knows I am sick. He only shares some stuff with me about his food business and we are not always communicating.

@JustBhem I am sure that for YOU it's pure friendship, but if you feel that his wife does not appreciate stop to communicate with him.

@LadyDuck Yeah, I didn't see it coming. I told the boyfriend about that, and the boyfriend knows about him too because one time they talk to the phone. I guess that's the best option.

Hasn't happened to me. I'm too ugly to be mistaken for the 'other woman'! Hope you get this sorted out. So sorry this happened to you.

@allen0187 Yes, I don't want to have messy life because of that issue. No way, being sick is sure enough.

Yes, because I already unfriended the guy. He is not being honest with me. And I don't want trouble.

yes. Something similar to that situation. but instead of the woman..the best friend of the woman is the one who contacted me and told me things I really don't like.

@renicemae And to think she is just the best friend, right? Well, the good thing for me is I think that so-called wife is a decent person. She never says bad words to me. She only asks if what is my connection to her husband.

@JustBhem Well. you are lucky then. That woman who bothered me is just too quick to her judgement without asking much.
