I need to trim my toenails, and would like to shape them and polish them.
This is something I have been saying for some weeks now.
Each time I sit down to do this, my sister calls.
It is not really important phone calls, but she needs to talk.
This has happened three times now.
I am going to try again in just a minute. Wish me luck.
Sometimes I feel I do not have the time for personal care, or to care for hubby. He needs a hair cut right now.
For better mental health I am needing to do more things for myself. I need to creative and artistic things to feel my best, as well.
Sometimes cooking, cleaning and being online is just the same old stuff.
So be very quiet. I am going to go sit on the porch swing for a minute or two. Then I will go give myself a pedicure. Do not tell anyone. It will just be our secret.

I can´t reach my toenails anymore. I am about to get a pogologist to do it.

The podiatrist did not feel he needed to trim my nails. He looks after my bones and such in my feet if they hurt, though. I paid for a pedicure in a shop, but have now found I can reach my toes again, so I enjoy being able to do it.

My lips are sealed and if your sister calls, I will answer and tell her that you're not at home. Also, she should call back in about ten days! LOL

I am thinking that I need to get mine done professionally. Or, at least have my hubby do me the favor of trimming them. I'd worry that he would rip off the nail as I have seen him do to himself, OUCH

If you already know that your sister just needs to talk, couldn't you call her back once you've had your me time, or would you feel too guilty?
I've never done a pedicure and it's too late now, my toenails are growing sideways and all sorts of weird things. I need to see a podiatrist actually and am hoping that by winter I can fit it in and see what can be done to straighten them out again.
I did paint or rather put polish on them, but that was around the time I went to Guatemala and not since.

I do not know that she just needs to talk, until after I get on the line with her. To her it is not "just needs to talk" but is rather "the most important and urgent thing on earth". My nails are still pretty good. I paid for a professional pedicure once last year, but I now can reach my toes again, and I would rather spend that money on herbal classes or some such. As long as I keep the nails trimmed it does not hurt my feet.
