Do You Think, I Could Just Have A Moment With My Apple?

Yep, that is what I asked my sister this morning... "Do you think, I could just have a moment with my apple?" The fruit, not the technology! I am an emotional eater and usually I would go for the chocolate biscuits or wafers, but this morning I thought instead of grabbing a biscuit, I would grab an apple. I just wanted a moment where I could quietly sit and eat that apple. Without my name being called or asked to do something. So when I just sat down and bit into that apple and my sister called me, I calmly  (well, I thought it was calmly, asked her that above question). She said "there is no need for that tone." Tone? I had a tone? I wonder why... Needless to say, I got to finish my apple in peace, though the atmosphere between my sister and I might be a tad tense . Have you ever just wanted a quiet moment to sit and eat without needing to be everywhere at once or always being called? Photos are mine of my favourite chocolate biscuits and wafers, yum, and of the apples...wasn't I good to choose the apple?

@hereandthere that is quite a combination! A tone to the voice, and a certain look!

Apple would be the better choice, but I would love three of those biscuits with a cup of tea. Well, one of the good things about living alone is that no one can disturb your meal - unless by phone.

I so would have shared with you @Kandae11 , if I could find the time for a cuppa. Switch that phone off....I am always so tempted. ;)

You and your apple have a God-given right to have a peaceful moment together. How dare someone interrupt that moment! As far as which I would have chosen, I would have taken both! Eat the apple first (I always feel less guilty when I eat the healthy food first), and then follow it off with a few bites of the delicious chocolate!

See, see, Jeff, that is it, that is precisely it! Uhm, Yes, I could have had both, but I am trying to be more healthy here. I know I am extra cuddly and all, but I needed me some fruit! But, hey, we'll make some chocolate time!

@bluesa I'm all for eating healthy and all, but don't lose too much of the cuddly parts, because otherwise I won't have anything to wrap my hands around!

@dgobucks226, David, I am having one heck of a week. I don't know why time is flying like it is. I don't know if I am left or right up or down! I am considering a brandy with dinner, yes, a brandy! lol. But, thank you, I sincerely hope your week is going well too.

Everyone deserves to eat in peace. Much healthier choice than anything fabricated. Part of my late lunch was 2 apples as the apples are in season here and they are delicious. I had a red one and a yellow one.

You were very good to choose the apple and I would have also been upset to be annoyed while I was eating my apple.

Not having much of a sweet tooth, I would have chosen the apple. We all have a right to eat in peace without being disturbed. I'd use the same tone and words, too. lol

They are chocolate cookies with a vanilla icing centre, and not a famous brand.

I'm an emotional eater, too. Good job on choosing the apple. I should get some fruit in here. I agree though - some people don't understand other's needs for peace :-)

And isn't it odd how sugar pulls at a person? Picking the apple was so not easy. Yes, we all just need a moment. :-)

@bluesa So true! There is just something so satisfying in junk food that doesn't seem to be the same in healthier choices. *sigh*

@bluesa (the truth is, I used to pinch carrots from the kitchen to munch on when I was about 4-5 YO. Munching on a carrot these days, take me back to those times. )

Yes, you were good to choose the apple, but, I am not one to ask because I would not choose the apple. I stopped eating apples a long time ago. I love bananas.
