Fudge And Brandy And Oooh Tired!

Oh boy,  life has been busy for me lately, just being life, no special occasions. And I decided to make some fudge yesterday, for pudding for after dinner, I have a thing for fudge. I was so tired and stressed after a crazy week that after dinner I decided to have a brandy with that fudge and then I thought I would spend some time here, but oh my, that after dinner brandy knocked me. I dozed off after it! Guess I was more tired than I thought! So I only made it on today. I think I will leave an after dinner brandy out of my near future. How was your Friday, all? Any plans for your weekend? I hope every one will find some time to rest this weekend. I need to. Photos are mine of the fudge I made yesterday.

I always get sleepy if I drink a brandy or a whisky after dinner, thing that I do quite often. This is the reason I never come back online after dinner. Your fudge looks delicious.

Oh, it is a good reason to not come back online, I know I just could not keep my eyes open. Thank you, Anna, it took me quite a while to get fudge right it always came out too soft or toffee like and now that I figured it out I make it whenever I have an extra sweet tooth.

Friday the 13th was just an ordinary day for me. Stayed home because traffic was bad. No weekend plans yet. If the weather cooperates, I might go out and do some shopping later in the day.

Love your fudge, but love brandy more! It always knocks me out after a long day. Glad to see you back! Tonight we are going to a friend's house for cocktails and nibbles, then out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. The next time I will see them will be in Florida. They come down every year for 2 months.

oh, my Friday was a case presentation day and since that day up to yesterday and today, i felt so tired and exhausted that i cannot come to this site for several hours. we are also waiting for the message of our clinical coordinator if we will have duty tomorrow.

Yes, I use a little less butter and I cook all the ingredients, the condensed milk, syrup and sugar for 25 minutes before using an electric beater on the mixture for 7 minutes.

I can't remember when last I tasted fudge-- those look so very delicious. I have no idea what brandy tastes like.

Looks like the peanut butter fudge that I often make around Christmastime. I have to work today and tomorrow, but thankfully for only 2 hours each day. The weather is supposed to be nice and we are going to a fundraising event for our local Animal Shelter. There will be fun games for the kids and vendors selling wares too. I probably won't buy any of the wares, I have enough. But, I do like to look at what they have to sell.

that happened to me, too, after a busy day. when i got hungry in the afternoon, instead of just a snack, i ate rice (sort of an early dinner), showered, then read a bit in bed, but ended up sleeping until morning.

Your fudge looks delicious! Being tired can wipe you out in a hurry when you sit down to relax. I don't drink, but it doesn't take long being here when I'm tired when I'm headed to bed for a nap.
