The day my family and I left for vacation to Branson, Missouri, we stopped on the way to visit Fantastic Caverns in Springfield, Missouri. It's the only cave in North America to offer a complete ride through tour, and it was beautiful. Amyra (my niece) loved it, and pretty much stole the hearts from the couple across from her. Hudson is two, but he did perfectly. I loved how cool the temperature was below, and we had a great view from the jeep drawn tram. The tour took close to an hour, and there is much more to it, but I won't go on and on.
So even though my vacation was about 24 hours and then cut short (see post about being heart sick), I do have this as an enjoyable memory. I took this picture from inside the cave.

They sound nice! Penns Cavern in PA allows you to ride through the cave by boat. That is a good one too.correction it is Penns Cave.

Wow, that's cool, a ride through the caves..I really want to visit Mammoth caves in Kentucky sometime, but I have visited Ohio caverns a couple times.

Yes the picture indeed tells me that you visited a quite unique place. Caves especially the old ones are really very interesting places to go since they are unique on its own and no cave will ever be the same. It looks strange with all the stalactites and stalagmites the are there. So the older it is the more it becomes interesting to visit and looked at.

That picture is cool, it looks like fir growing on that rock. I am not afraid of enclosed spaces but it might still be weird to take a tour underground like that.

How awesome! I'm happy you have that awesome photo and great memories. When we were kids, my parents took us to Carlsbad Caverns. We were on a tour and in an elevator going down, down, down when my mother demanded to be taken back up. She felt so closed in. We left her in the main lobby and my father gave us a walking tour of the stalactites and stalagmites. I was so embarrassed at that age by my mother. lol
