I have been born and brought up in a very spiritual environment a reason of which have strong faith in reading Holy Books. Every day after bathing, I read our holy book and then leave for office. A reason of which I experience the whole day very enthusiastic and positive. What about you do you read holy book? Image Credit: Pixabay

Yeah smartphones can be made best use for gaining spiritual knowledge in the daily routine. But I like that you still open the Bible at times because it has more energy.

@kavinitu maybe the energy is from the word and messages itself going to our hearts and minds rather than from a piece of book or an electronic device, who knows

Sadly now wrong translation are making me angry, I prefer pure. Several Purana are mixed up with wrong translation, and people are spreading false stories as goodwill stories which I do not like

Sad but it really is a fact in the current period people have made it a way of making business as very few are aware of the perfect knowledge. People don't understand this will only mislead people and extinct our religious cultures.

There is a great energy that we can receive from our reading of Holy writings
After a hard day living in this world, I usually read something scriptural and Holy before I go to sleep each night. It helps me to sleep more peacefully, I think. What is the value of our reading Holy spiritual books and writings, that is, if there is any then? All holiness comes alight/alive in you when you allow your inner self and heart to match itself to Holy Scriptures. They are written from the same divine level of love, which you also feel in yourself when you allow such readings to penetrate to your heart, and so lift you out of your mind for a moment with its truth, and it often then brings you into contact with God himself. Such readings quieten the mind, and bring peace and love out from your heart, to meet that which is to be found in such Holy readings. @kavinitu Thanks, Kavita. I always feel refreshed in the morning, as I feel that all is well, and I have been in contact with my soul, and even with God, during my dreams. That's why I prefer to read the scriptures at night. I do read them during the day of course sometimes too, as I feel that I need to do so too, as well.
