Those are the words used by Jeanne as I read the message on the back of this beautiful postcard, which I received yesterday.
It seems to have been a while since I got "something pretty" in the mail, and true to her words, this is just that!
So the "pretty" DESTINY oil on canvas painting 1900, by John William Waterhouse is one of his many collections of which others you might know:
Boreas, The soul of the rose, The Lady of Shalott, Hylas and the Nymphs,
Ophelia, and The Magic Circle. All to do with lovely maidens in a provoking sense but that's my opinion, you can decide for yourself.
I think he was very talented and pleased that I have a lovely copy of one of his paintings.
@Jeanniemaries - what a lovely gesture and not only the postcard, but the lovely stamps as well. I have done some editing this morning so that I could show everyone the marvellous 'pretty' that crossed my path.
The MAKRO Shark and Penguins together with "Fund the Fight, Find a cure" Breast Cancer stamp are just lovely. I also love that she added some washi tape with the colourfull jellyfish setting a very 'sea' tone to the greeting of 'pretty'
Good Morning to everyone - Its a wonderfully cool day down under in South Africa and we are expecting rain later in the day.
I look forward to reading your calling cards and will chat again later.
