Athena went to the Halloween Party

I had mentioned that we were going to a Halloween party at the clubhouse here in our little community. Anne did this Athena costume and posed regally for the photo.
The dress she wore was actually from Greece, purchased there when she traveled while teaching in Turkey. The helmet was a kids' toy from Goodwill. She attached the crest and spray painted it gold. I really like the yarn hair and the braid hangs down her back. The owl is an old Beanie Baby.
The party was fun, with a few games and door prizes for best costume (Anne did not win). We did win a raffle prize, a $25 gift certificate to Walmart.
I was not too imaginative with my costume, but may post a photo.

I'd like to see your costume! I'm surprised she didn't win, it's a nice costume. I love ones like that where you can use your imagination and create something nice out of non-expensive items

With three costume prizes, I was surprised too, but familiarity and friendship enters into things too. She does not know many of the residents who attended.

@JamesHxstatic Oh, that could be it, too. I think that's what happened at the costume contest I went to. There were much better costumes than the ones that came in 2nd, 3rd
