Good Morning

I am reminded of my grandma this morning, and I will tell you why.
She lived to be 100, but never actually went to a doctor's office until she was in her sixties.
She would get up in the morning and make a full country breakfast, holding her back and hobbling around. She would say "oh, I hurt, but I am thankful I don't have arthritis." She actually did, but did not have a doctor to tell her so.
She was thankful for every day that I remember, and loved all of her family.
I am thankful to have had my grandma.

She sounds like she was a wonderful lady. Nice that she got to live a long life and you got to have her for as long as you did.

In many ways she was a good example.

Yes, it does seem to. They were hard workers and ate a lot of things they grew themselves.

I believe my maternal grandpa was 97. I hope I get their great genes.

It is good to enjoy them while we can, and it is sad to watch them as they decline.

@GardenGerty That's true. Eventually the poor old body wears out.
