Had a Rainy All Saints'/All Souls' Days

It rained almost continuously for days here in our place, so the usual festive celebration of All Saints' and All Souls' Days last November 1 and 2 were dampened. It was due to a tropical storm in the Visayas, but it affected a wide areas near it, including Luzon, Philippines. But in spite of the rains, people also flocked to the cemeteries to give respect and prayers for their departed loved ones. They brought flowers and candles; stayed there almost the whole day, for some who just alloted the day to be with their dead relatives. It became an instant reunion for families who only see each other on such important occasions. Do you also observe/celebrate Halloween?

This is a nice tradition and, as you say, it means families that might rarely see each other have the chance to do so on All Saints Day.

It is the most beautiful part of the celebration: family bonding.

You have a wonderful tradition which we don't have. For Halloween, I only give out candy.

It was indeed a mess for some public cemeteries, but still people just go to express love for the departed.

Nope I did not went there two days ago. I wasn't gonna get myself sick from the rain and frustrated from the traffic. So, I went the next day instead and the weather subsided and it was easy for me to get there.

It is really crowded in some cemeteries; also the traffic was a mess. I agree with you.

The good thing in my region is that we are not affected by the typhoon. It made the day gloomy but no rain.

It had been a tradition in our country; mostly for the Catholics.
