A dialogue in our Barangay.

I and my Brothers went to the Barangay this morning because we are summoned by my Aunt who holds the Land Title of the said house where the renter is living. My Aunt filed a complaint against them (the renters) not leaving the place because they said they have the right to live there because the place is abandoned.
My Aunt showed them the Land Title and still, they insist they have the right because my Mother and one of our neighbors sign an agreement about it. My Mother (again the cause of all these troubles) don't have the right to the place. Only my Father has the right to it. Because my Mother likes to have money she let the renters live there without my Father's permission and without telling me.
Now a huge trouble so coming because of her.
The second dialogue will be next week.

I`m so confused
1. Who owns the Land? because the said signed agreement will only be valid if the one who signed it owns the Land title. Therefore, Renters can`t use it against you if the said Land Title is not under your Mothers name
2. Why only your Father has the right? Is he the owner? If he`s the owner, How come that the land title is with your Aunt and not with your Father?
3. Your Aunt has the Land title but if she`s not the owner then it`s useless holding it with her

@JustBhem Ok clear now
I`m sure you can win against the renters and your mother can`t do anything about it but to face the penalties from the renters

I hope the issue will be resolved soon, if I'm the renter I will leave the place because its not good when you are in trouble in the house where you are living.

if they are holding paper or receipt they paid, maybe they have the momentarily right to argue, but if not, maybe you can put "no tresspassing" in the entrance just serving them a warning. Of course, an attorney in PAO can help you for some information regarding this matter.

Nope, they don't have a receipt or anything. Someone said these renters are PROFESSION SQUATTERS meaning they take lands when they know it is abandoned.

Sad to say but I hope your mother learned her lesson this time
