Ya know, it's bad enough that there's the Black and White thing in this country and the fact that we're so cruel when it comes to Illegal Aliens and of course we have to take down EVERY statue from the Civil War but let's add another one to the racist profile.
Now there's the Indian thing going on. In Keller, Texas, there is a high school there that has had their Mascot as an Indian for 75 years as their football team. The Society of Native Nations states that using the Indian as the mascot is racist and shows disrespect.
Seriously? Well hell, I guess we should have to change the Kansas City Chiefs (around since 1963) and the Washington Redskins (around since 1937) names too. And I guess we should include the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians baseball team names too. Oh and the Chicago Blackhawks in Hockey..........
A Native American group on Thursday pushed the Keller school board to change the Keller High School mascot from the Indians, but some parents and alumni pushed back against the idea.

I have some American Indian genes, with that said, soon no one will have the right to show anything of the past. They will now name Kansas city ball team as well as Washington ball team.

I have American Indian genes too @andriaperry on my Dad's side. Even when I do surveys, if I answer NO to "Are you of Mexican or Latin Heritage", I'm thrown out of the survey. Seriously? I realize that Nationality and where your roots came from are important but good grief, this is getting ridiculous. I wonder how Adam & Eve would have been 'characterized'.

This is ridiculous and it's not only American. Italy wants to remove all the "symbols" of the Fascist era. Good, go for it, this means they will have no more railways stations, schools, public offices, because in 70 years after the Fascist era the new stupid politicians have done nothing. Only steal money.

None of it makes any sense to me @LadyDuck . History is history for crying out loud. They want to rename all the schools, parks, roads, streets, etc., in Texas that have anything to do with the Civil War. It is stupid.

I think it's part of evolving as a species. Just because it was right 75 years ago, doesn't make it appropriate now.

Since Indians were the first to be living in the U.S. I think they would consider it an honor for a team to have an Indian as a mascot. Oh, well I will never understand these things.
