Buy a new one or just stick to it?

Even though I have a Laptop my hands are way uncomfortable to reach the Letters and numbers. So, I've attached myself with a Desktop keyboard and mouse . But overtime some letters had already been erased because of my typing. I wanted to buy a new one but I resorted to buying letter stickers instead. You think it's cheaper this way just sticking up the missing letters?

If the keyboard is still working then attaching stickers sounds like a good idea.

Hello @jaboUK Yeah, that's what I did and it's more cheaper that way.

That is a good alternative to buying a new keyboard. But of course, you may need to keep buying new stickers. I too sometimes find the laptop keyboard quite uncomfortable but never thought about using an auxiliary keyboard and mouse.

Hello @UmiNoor It's because of my computer table it's too high for my hands to reach the keyboard on the laptop. So, I had to compromise.

definitely if all the letters still work, then it's still okay

@Letranknight2015 you can even just use nail polish or those liquid erasers if you want to be even more practical

Hello @lady1993 It's more practical right? because they still work and so far no problems with it.

Yes it feels bad when letters in the keys get erased. It's better you bought stickers as it may have been a cheaper than buying a new keyboard.

Hello @sjvg1976 I thought about it first because the keys are still working and only the letters were erased. maybe when the keyboard no longer works.

That's good if you don't want to spend too much , stickers can help as of now but for long run you can buy a second hand one

Hello @prashu228 The price for a simple keyboard is almost 10 dollars. Not practical for my laptop since it's not new.

I need a new one for my desktop, it is about 5 years old and the letters are gone in some places. I have been using my laptop more thou as I can do things online while sitting at the kitchen table home schooling my daughter. Laptops are expensive, so it that was the only thing wrong with it I think Id just do stickers or something.

Hello @Ithink well, that depends on the laptop, the gaming ones are the really expensive ones out there.

For me, It`s much better to buy a new one and if you`re thinking of savings then buy a second hand Stickers are good for those who have poor eyesight

I would say to just stick with what you have right now until you've saved up for a new keyboard.

I think I could operate a keyboard with most of the keys missing but maybe I'd be surprised and find it harder than I imagine.

Hello @JudyEv If it's harder to type on your keyboard maybe it's a cue for replacement.

@Letranknight2015 My keyboard is fine thanks. I meant I might find it difficult if a lot of the figures/letters were missing.

I have never used them so cannot tell you. I have bought new ones when the other one wore out.
