Historic Rock Ledge Ranch Lean

I'm far from the only one, but I love to take pictures of my bike leaning on stuff (seriously. I post them on an Australian Facebook group page called Straya - Look at My Bike Leaning on Stuff. The majority of the leans are posted by Aussies, but they do allow non-Australian members to post.) I was going through some old photos and found this lean from last summer. Rock Ledge Ranch is an historic living history museum, and farm, is adjacent to Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Museum guides, dressed for the part, take visitors through restored buildings that represents four different time periods, each reflecting life here in the Pikes Peak region during those time periods. Specifically, the tour touches upon American Indian life in 1775, a cabin from the 1860's, a farm in the 1880's, and a 1907 estate. There is a working blacksmith on the grounds, a horse and chicken barn, and sheep and cattle on the farm. Rock Ledge Ranch hosts an estimated 65,000 people each year. And now my bike has leaned on the sign out front. I like to ride up there every once in awhile. I mean, come on. Check out that view! (Info verified by Wikipedia)

I would SO like to see this place. It's my sort of museum. We went to something similar - well, a working farm/museum - in the Black Forest region of Germany and it was magic. Interesting to hear about the Aussie FB page too.

Oh, you should see some of the leans from the Australians. Just beautiful scenery, or really cool stuff.

@JudyEv - It certainly is. They seem like pretty cool dudes. There is another, similar group, but those guys are jerks.

It is nice to ride in that part of town. I took this one last year, from a lookout area. It's got Pikes Peak in the background.

That is such a cool view! Makes you want to pick up the leaning bike (it has rested enough) and head out to explore those beautiful mountains! And the history sounds really interesting. Would love to tour that place

Yes, I rarely let my bike rest long. Don't want it to become complacent.

@dgobucks226 - I have no idea how I ended up with duplicate responses. I deleted one of them.

That is a neat tradition you have to lean your bike against things and take photos. Sounds like something that would be fun for other bikers to post and view on instagram. I came to your profile from a post of @andriaperry about popcorn lung risks from vaping but I don't see any posts of yours about that.
