The only problem with cooking

The only problem I have with cooking is that I end up needing to wash dishes and clean up. The stove needs wiped down. The counters too. Oh, and I should organize the refrigerator and get rid of anything that is too old to eat. I have dishes in the dish washer right now and will wash more later. The taste of good food makes it all worth while.

I like washing dishes haha I feel like it is relaxing in an odd way. And we hand wash all of our dishes. I feel like it is prepping for cooking is more annoying than cleaning it up haha

Yeah, there is that too. Chop this, peel that. . . I cheated a little. I bought my squash already peeled and cubed. I sat and played an online game while I peeled my cloves of garlic.

@GardenGerty That isn't cheating, just sneaky haha! My mom does that when she has to peel things. She sits at the computer and plays games while she does it haha

Yes i hear you on those problems. I'm glad my niece didn't want alot for dinner tonight so I had less to clean up. I don't mind cooking but I hate what comes with it.

Oh I dont mind doing the dishes, I do them by hand. I dont like the other mess of cleaning after cooking thou, the putting away of everything.

And then there is putting away the leftovers, finding a place and all that. The soup went into a quart mason jar with a plastic lid. Muffins went into an empty bread bag. I got most of the food spatters off the stove.

I feel the dishwasher gets them so much cleaner. I just dirty them up so fast.

I have a dishwasher, but the dishes still have to be removed when clean and placed in when dirty.

Me too, sometimes I feel tired. You prepped everything for cooking, you cooked it, then its still you who have to wash the dishes, wipe the stove, clean the kitchen haha But I still love to cook despite of it all.

I save major cooking for a day when I have time to do all the prep and cleanup.

Vince cooks and I clean up but I still think I have the best end of the deal. I have a dish-washer too which makes cleaning up much easier.

I washed as I went today, now I have just a few left to wash, I do not have a dish washer.

I cooked something unusual before (some Asian dish) which resulted in lots of washing. The dish tastes extremely good, but I can't understand where people find the time to prepare that dish if they eat it all the time.
