When the End is Near

Last year when my husband was still alive the Christmas cactus didn’t bloom at this time of the year. Now as you can see from the photo it is blooming and the flowers look so lovely. I know this is a special greeting to me and I am glad about that. Every time I look at it I have to smile.
Now for some really sad news. I read in a comment that supposedly my teen idol David Cassidy, who has dementia is in organ failure. Unfortunately the doctors say he needs kidney transplant but it is really too late to do anything. So prayers go out to his family. I have added one of my favorite songs by him. This year is really ending on a sad note and I am already looking forward to the next for a fresh new start.

At least if something could be done but being so ill I do believe God knows what He is doing @arthurchappell The net will soon be full of him and at least he will be on top again even this way.

@arthurchappell and that is what makes it even sadder. He could still have done so much

I loved The Partridge Family when I was a kid. "Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque" is my favorite.

Yes, if only first of all he hadn't lost so much time drinking and second that dementia didn't run in his family. For awhile it looked like he might pull together. That is the scary part for me the ages. My husband was 66 and my teen idol is 67 @JohnRoberts

I loved David Cassidy when I was 14. I am saddened about this news, but not totally surprised by it. He has led a hard life.
