Are you scared of running blood?

Sometimes we get injured or wounded or any of our family member or relative gets injured and blood starts flowing, till something is arranged to stop the flow of blood. Do you feel nervous when you see flowing blood or do you gather your wits and look for cotton or some antiseptic etc. to stop the flow of blood? Do you feel scared to see an injured accident victim whose blood is flowing or do you come froward to help him/her as much as possible? Image courtesy - Google

I think I am more likely to gather my wits to do something about the blood . . . find bandage or at least get help! Having kids and their friends running around as they do, I've seen such accidents - I cannot get scared . . . I have to do something about it. Then again, I haven't been up close to a severe blood flow . . . I think I'd be more scared seeing the actual injury . . . like a bone protruding or smashed skin !

Yes, you have rightly pointed out that if some injury occurs, we need to immediately go for first aid (including cotton and bandage etc.) so as to stop the blood flow. I agree with you that seeing some grave injury like a protruding bone could run down a shiver in our spine.

@dpk262006 All I know is for the injured person's sake, one must remain calm so they remain calm. To scare the injured person would probably make their blood rush out even more!

@much2say Yes, one should try his best to maintain his calm rather than making the victim more nervous causing more loss of blood.

Could you analyse what make you feel afraid of flowing blood? When some injury happens, only thing is we should try to get immediate first aid, which will help us stop the blood flow.

I try to react the best way I can and try to help if I can but if a Doctor or an Ambulance is needed then I call for it and make them come over.

It is good that you do not lose your cool on seeing the blood and you try to help the victim and would call for a Doctor/ambulance, as the case may be.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It is brave on your part that you overcame your fears and now you are not scared to see flowing blood or spiders. Yes, in the normal course a spider will not harm you, even if he passes close by.

@dpk262006 I wish that would happen to no one in this world but it does. Blood does not scare me like that but it does a lot of people I know they cannot help it for some reason. Its like being scared of Spiders and I overcame my fright of spiders by sitting there and watching them and knowing that they will not harm me no matter what.
