Adultery highlights during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade...

I really enjoyed the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade for the most part, except for one song that seemed well out of place. Standing there surrounded by a ton of little children one singer Cam sang a song called "Diane". The song is about a woman talking about her affair. That totally sets the mood for family, love and happiness, and all those good vibes. Don't you think? Though the song wasn't to bad, and the meaning behind writing the song seems to be a means to raise awareness to how easy sex is to some people. I still don't think it was that appropriate for a Thanksgiving/ Christmas parade... What do you think? Are affairs / adultery a great topic for thanksgiving dinner? Song Lyrics can be found here:

It's certainly not appropriate but even more worrying is that 'Cam' obviously thought it was okay.

That had me wondering how did she think it was okay to sing a song of that nature, surrounded by kids on a float, in front of crowds with kids and families??? I know it was a huge promotion event for her to sell the latest cd. Is the rest of it crap that she couldn't pick a more holiday friendly thing?

@Daelii I think some of the young ones give no thought as to what is and isn't appropriate. She was probably totally unaware of anything amiss with her choice.

I think a lot of the singers were singing whatever their hit was. Not thinking of the season at all.

There were a few that did keep to Christmas themed songs with a fun focus to kids and families. :)

Affairs are not good topics for a family gathering for Thanksgiving.

Nope! I would never bring that topic up at dinner nor engage in that kind of discussion at a family gathering. Especially since there have been a number of affairs and issues related to them on my husband's side of the family.

No more appropriate than exposing children to a gay/lesbian/transgender lifestyle.

@Daelii Maybe you need to educate yourself because we are not animals we are humans not animals. If we are animals then we don't need laws, we should just go and do what we want even if it means killing everyone we see. Why be angry over rapists, murderers, serial killers, thieves and terrorists if we're all just animals. I think what you just said and admitted to is a slap in the face to everyone on here and to those who aren't and everyone on here should call you on it, because I know that I am. Also again you are not born gay those animals your speaking of still made a choice to do those things just like humans have that choice no one is born gay not even an animal. It sounds to me as though you lost your first point so you're trying to say it's genetic, but again that can't even be proven by genetics because it's a choice and a perversion of everything natural.
