Indonesian Volcano Erupting

I guess you already know about this, but Mount Agung in Bali, Indonesia, has sent off some very large blasts, triggering an evacuation order for about 100,000 people. Not all of them have evacuated. Just as in other countries and evacuation orders, many stay behind to care for their livestock, or because they think they will be all right, or they are old and can't get out easily. I sure hope everyone gets out safely. It is especially difficult to evacuate people from an island, as Japan has had to do several times from their small islands on the Izu Ridge and Ryukyu Islands.
Are our Indonesian members affected by this?
What do you think of evacuation orders and how to carry them out?
Here is a scientifically interesting article about the progression of the eruption from two months ago until today.

Ferries are more likely to be useful than trucks and cars, I would think. Hopefully, helicopters could fly in, but volcanic ash can really destroy airplane engines so I'm not so sure about that.

@petatonicsca Ferries sounds excellent. Maybe some international help with the evacuation. Better help now than lots of people injured later.

In the last volcano eruptions here, I paid more attention and discovered that many people would not leave their cattle behind. It was their only means of living
