25 days of baking: Warm up!

So we made some peanut butter cookies tonight. The girls did the mixing and put them out on the pan. My oldest would flatten them with the fork and my youngest kept grabbing handfuls to make her big sisters have to make them all over again. I may have burnt them just a tad! Ooops! Nevertheless, they were still editable! Have you done any baking today? Do you plan to bake for the holidays?

Oh gosh haha that is adorable! Peanut butter cookies are the best! I don't really bake that much, I love baking but don't really have much to be able to bake. I might bake from brownies if we ever get some nuts for them haha

@Daelii Oooh, that sounds interesting, I believe it would work though, getting that crunch and also a little salty to the sweet!

@DesirousDreamer I just hope it's not another one of those food attempts I gag through wondering what I was thinking lol

Thank you! That is one thing I really want to try doing. My middle daughter really wants brownies (she keeps eyeing those pre-packaged ones) but can't have them because she is allergic to a number of different nuts. So we are going to try to make some with sunflower seeds!

I'm coming to your house, those are my favorites. lol I use a baking stone now and I have not burned a peanut butter cookie since.. The high-fat content makes them particularly prone to burning.

I tend to burn a lot of things! these would have been worse had my 5 year old not reminded me to take them out!

I don't know why, but I don't bake so much anymore. It's nice that you can bake with your children and they are cute.

I think that is neat when you let your children help with the baking.

Vince isn't supposed to have a lot of sugar and I'm trying to maintain my weight so we don't do much baking any more.
