Christmas Lights

Last night with the house completely dark, I took the photo of the house across the street. It's almost the only house on the block that has any Christmas decorations. There are others, but this one is the best.
I always enjoy looking at the lights and decorations displays this time of year, and I'm rarely disappointed. This house also had their tree decorated before I did, but I think it was only a matter of hours, as it wasn't up the day before, but I did see it decorated and lit when I turned out the lights and went to bed.
Since then they added the outside lights as well, and you can see they did a very nice job of it.

Just the dinosaur picture in my post. As I was waiting for everyone to come back to the car, I looked up in some giant trees, and they were twinkling beautifully. The aimed projectors up into the trees, and it was magical.

Unless they moved Christmas up two days, it's 10 days, unless you're in another part of the world, then 9. So better get those decorations taken care of soon or it will be Christmas day and you still won't have them taken care of.

There aren't really any displays that have moved me to take a photo this year. Of course we haven't ventured off to look at the lights yet. Hopefully we will get out this week after dinner some evening.
Our neighbor across the street has her home all decked out. Puts my little display to shame. Maybe I will take a pic of that to post.

@just4him I used to see beautiful displays, but the people have passed away and no one else really does the big displays.

@CookieMonster46 I think too, with the cost of electricity it gets expensive to do more than a basic display.

Like you, I enjoy seeing the Christmas decorations and I have taken photos of some of them. My favorites are of our local boat parade, when people decorate their boats (even little ones) and drive around Newport Bay after dark. This is a photo of the shore, which I took from the ferry.

I love looking at all the lights people have up! When I get a chance to get to the computer I will share my favorite!
Currently I have my baby snuggled up on one side and my 5;year old asleep on my other side. Ive been eyeing my cup a tea longingly for a while! Lol
