“What would you do if you see an old man in the subway train?”

Whenever I go to the capital of my country, I always felt bad seeing some elders stand on the subway train. The young generations don’t mind letting them take their seats. It seems time changes people’s behavior in showing courtesy with the elders. There is some point that I compared Tajikistan in taking good care of the elders. For the local people, they were so kind enough to give their seats to the elders in the cabled trains. “What’s going on in this world?” “Are we losing the kind-hearted persona because of modernization?” “What’s your call on this?” Image Credit: pixabay.com

I think it's extremely sad. People are losing their empathy for each other, and I'm not sure where we will end up.

It was so heart-aching if the young people continued to do this kind of behavior. The young ones are becoming mutant nowadays.

Being a senior myself, it is always heartening to see young people helping elders.

I agree, it is courtesy to let an older person have a seat. We still see young people offering their seats to older people here in New Zealand, but not always.

I do think that young ones should know the importance of giving love to the elders. In some public transportations, I still see a few youngsters do share their seats to the elders. It is most likely in the local provinces.

I agree. It is just a life cycle and they don't want to be treated like this in the future.

here, there is still chivalry, even young ladies. my son offers his seat when a lady rides on the tricycle; he sits in the extra small space.

I do agree that it is still being practiced in the local provinces. In big cities, it doesn't apply that much.

I also do the same thing. I hope that the young generations continue the good practice of treating the people well, either disabled or not, pregnant women, etc.

I only take the subway when on vacation in foreign countries. The elderly, pregnant women, and those with handicaps should definitely be given a seat. There should be more manners and respect in this world.

I do agree with you. I hope that the local government should be imposed such simple rule. It shouldn't be the case because it needs sensitivity from within.
