No it isn't a human. . . it is my Eclectus parrot! The females are red and the males are green, so obviously I have a hen (female). I've had her for oh geez, let me think, 13 years now. She is 15 and her name is Scarlett. I didn't give her that name. She came with it when I adopted her from a local bird rescue.
Eclectus are supposedly "difficult" parrots, especially the females, but I haven't found that to be the case at all. Scar is pretty low-key. She is about as difficult to care for as a potted plant except she requires feeding/watering daily and her toys are kind of expensive. Sometimes she goes into egg-laying mode which is annoying but also normal.
I hit the ekkie jackpot with this one!

Smashing photo of such a lovely bird.
My parrot was emerald green with lovely soft fluffy feathers too and so warm when you tickled her under her wings.
¨So lucky to have her and does she shout a lot or not?

Mine was but I loved her to bits even so and I was always grateful that the neighbours as we lived in a block of flats put up with me and her for so long.

I've never owned a parrot but when I was a kid mom got us a parakeet. it only lived 8 years and since none of us knew anything about the poor things I am supposing the little bird did ok. I will not own one because I know so little about them, dogs and cats I know.
