The party was supposed to start at 7:30AM. I arrived in school at 7:45 and I thought I was already late. I was surprised though, because when I reached the venue, I was the 6th human being there; the 5 were students. I thought the venue was not yet decorated and fixed, so the students arranged etc, etc. then, I texted my colleague if they will attend. The response came an hour later: “Ma’am, I am accompanying the 2 colleagues into buying gifts; it is only now that I loaded my phone”. The party began at exactly, 10:30AM. I thought I should have gone to my training rather than attending the party. Truly, Filipino time was at its “best (worst)”. Then my 2 colleagues arrived at 11AM. I wanted to get angry, but I controlled myself. Why, you might ask. It is because they told me they will be in school at 8AM. Exchange gifts were in the nursing office. We had lunch there. Then when I arrived home, I uploaded our pictures and 2 videos on Facebook. Filipino time should be eradicated. We should be punctual, anywhere, as always.
