It is a problem for low-lying areas. Some have already been submerged with water overflown from rivers. Roads in the areas were cut off and traffic had to be diverted to those in higher areas. Track only passable by two-wheel vehicles have recently been much traveled. Passengers have to switch to 2-wheel transport and they are ripped off but had no choice. When it rains in your area, does the same thing happen as well?

I live in an urban area and the drainage is well maintain. However there are some places outside the city proper that are subject to flooding when there is a strong typhoon.

Our area is undulating. Some are avery low where rivers flow. This happens only when it rains continuously for a day or more. Flash flood is really dangerous. Luckily I am living in the higher area.

Wow I hope everyone stays safe. It occasionally floods streets but we have a lot of sewers and drains to collect the water luckily.

If you look at the photo carefully, some of the causes were clogged sewers and drains. They were badly neglected.

Oh goodness this sounds to be a serious problem. We have no flooding problems when it rains here.

It has to be exceptionally wet before we are inconvenienced in any way. I guess we rarely have the very heavy rainfall that Indonesia has - at least on our part of Australia.

We had a lot of flooding in Michigan, by the river banks. But, where I live, this didn't happen. We've had a lot of standing water though!

Maybe the drainage system is very good in your area.

@yanzalong We live on higher ground, near a lake. The excess water flows into this body of water.

I'm so sorry. We don't have rains like that, but we have hurricanes or nasty snow.

The flood was due to clogged drainage, so water overflew and spilled over.
