Faucet Taps - Why I Hate THem

Hot water faucet taps in public conveniences, I hate you. There, I'ce said it. Your temperatures come in one of two extremes; sub-Arctic frostbite inducing and Molten lead. You often spray water so it splashes clothing, usually at an angle that makes people think the user has wet themselves in a different way. The worst however are those that won't stay on. I see the point of taps that switch themselves off at intervals as some people leave them dripping or even fully on, wasting water. A few morons even block the sinks so the drip feed floods the wash rooms. However, having a faucet tap turn off the instant you stop pressing the top or button is stupid, and forces the user to wash one hand at a time unless they want to bend and use their chin to press the tap in. Some new sinks have touch sensitive sensor pads but I need a manuel and a pre-use powerpoint presentation to figure out their use - it was once so simple. Taps, it is time to lay you to rest, so here is your requiem - Taps Youtube - Taps Arthur Chappell

Taps in public loos often only seem to be cold and cold. How is your area off for conveniences? Our council was considering closing any suburban ones that aren't in seaside/tourist parts of town.

@asfarasiknow the city centre is not too bad with free loos on the bus station and in each of the three main shopping precincts - much better than Manchester

I hate those that switch themselves off if they do not "feel" your hands are still there. Faucets in the houses are pretty good here, the one of the bath tub has a thermostat and it works, the shower has a head that changes colour, if the water is too cold is blue, if it's red it's too hot, green is the right temperature.

What I really hate is the ones that don't come on at all, as you are standing there with soapy hands!

I hate going in to the public restroom at all. I've used the sensor faucets, and they don't stay on long enough, so I have to continuously swipe my hand over the sensor.
