..i put a lock box on my thermostat...and waited for the first person to ask why..usually the first is the guilty one. i usually keep mine set at 68-which is in the realm of put a sweater on if you're cold.. lately, somehow the heat has been creeping up to 72,73 at night. so some smart ass was turning it up while i was sleeping, and then back down before i got up for work. ah,no you don't.not on my dime. i'm done with the "i'm gonna do what i want" going on in my house lately. think again.

I did not know you could put a lock on a thermostat. How does that work. Did you figure out who the guilty one was.

I haven't ventured above 65°F. Just think: if it was 65°F OUTSIDE, we wouldn't be shivering, would we? (And my furnace just came one.)

That is one way to catch the guilty party.

Or you could just draft up some sort of agreement forbidding it like Sheldon Cooper!

It is a good way to handle things up. How's your holiday so far, my friend? Happy New Year!

Good for you. That's sneaky and disrespectful for whoever it is to be doing that if you're the one who has to pay the electric bill. I rarely mess with the thermostat during the winter -- I leave it at whatever the boyfriend wants it set at, since he's the one paying the bill. If I get cold I can put on more layers and huddle under a blanket.
