My Sewing Machine Is No Longer In Retirement

Last Friday, I pulled my sewing machine out of the closet and got it set up on the table in my little sewing area in the front room. I hadn't done any sewing on it for at least 6 years! I did some alterations on a few costume pieces for the play I'm currently assisting with costuming. Wow. I need to do more sewing, too. I have a couple of storage totes full of sewing projects. That will be a nice change from playing with yarn for part of the winter.

I have machines set up, but not threaded. I have a small project I may do tomorrow. I do not sew often enough either. Maybe you will influence me.

I have a serger machine that I bought a few years ago and it is still in the box! Maybe I will inspire myself. It has been for too long that I have not done any sewing. I need to get back to it.

Sewing is one of my favorite past time.I'm having satisfaction whenever I finished sewing a piece.I learn how to sew when I was 10 years old, and I never get bored whenever I use my sewing machine.Sometimes,I'm thinking of getting a career out of it but not getting serious about it.

I love to sew. I love the end results of my efforts.

I'm sure I will enjoy it again. I had an instructor at the college I attended several years ago who pretty much ruined sewing for me. I'm glad I got my sewing machine back out even though it was for community theater right now. I'll start on my own stuff in a week or two.

I should force myself to do the same. Get out my sewing machine and finish different things that I have started.

When you do, you'll be glad you did. I know I am.

What are a few things that you have started? I have a blouse that I have already cut out but just need to sew it together. I also have fabric for slacks and a jacket. I have patriotic-themed fabric that I want to make a shirt with. I forget what all else I have.

I've never owned a sewing machine. My mom had one before and I've only used it a couple of times. Sounds like you'll have exciting projects to keep you busy.

I think that two storage containers of sewing projects will keep me busy through the rest of winter.

We had a sewing machine here and Grandma was able to use when she was here, but in the end, she got tired of it.

I like to switch between different things to do so that I don't get bored of it.

I hate getting stuck on something when I'm sewing, knitting, or crocheting.
