"It's in the fridge!"

I've talked in the past about my food allergies. Now, one of the things about my food allergies is that my worst allergy is to something they often put in medication as a filler.
The other day I had called in my gabapentin script. When I went to pick it up, I knew it was in the refrigerator. That's because liquid gabapentin has to be kept cold.
So, I go to the drive through to pick it up. The gal starts to head over to the pills.
"It's in the fridge!" I yelled.
She stopped, came back and asked what I had said.
I repeated myself.
She started to shake her head, then looked again at her screen and said: "Oh, you're right, I thought they were pills."
I get tired of watching them run around trying to find my - non-existent - pills.
Kind of funny, when I have time and don't feel too bad, but this wasn't one of those days.

These are pharmacy techs, basically they are clerks who can fetch and retrieve medicines. Now, I once had to explain to a pharmacist at a store I had never been to before, that I had to have my meds in liquid form. "But the pills are cheaper," she said. "Not if I have to take an $11 shot every time I take one," I replied. She filled it as written at that point.

It is frustrating to have to explain things over again. Sometimes it is just the way it is although I understand your getting tired of it. Customer service at times can be inept.

Well, generally speaking, adults don't take liquids, so they don't really expect one to be doing it. I can understand why they might not realize that it is the liquid form. And the hydrocodone, in liquid form, doesn't have to be kept in the fridge. I find it tastes better cold, but it doesn't have to be in there.

@dgobucks226 the pill/tablet form of this medicine - that is normally prescribed for neuropathy pain - has corn starch in it. I'm extremely allergic to corn protein, so I can't take the pill form. If you read the comments in Anna's @LadyDuck response, you will see another tech, a long time ago, who tried to replace my liquid med, in that case antibiotics, with pills.

I hate taking any kind of medication and since I don't need to I always look for natural remedies however the one thing I always have on hand is ibuprofen.
