Just unchecked from "Email me when someone" in MyLot notifications settings. I realized that my email is getting full of notifications at times. Actually if I am frequently visiting MyLot then the email notification is of no use. As of for now I have opted out of email notification settings will check it back later if needed. What about you are you checked for email notifications? Image Credit:- Pixabay.

I have a special page on my email just for MyLot. I actually rarely use it, but if I should be away from the site for any length of time, they are there. They drop off myLot in 7 days. They are easy to clear from my own gmail as I can delete them all at once.

That's great, I actually didn't get when you said "They drop off myLot in 7 days." Is it the mails are deleted by themselves after 7 days?

@JolietJake @nitirrbb7 That's right - the emails are just a way of preserving notifications which disappear from here after a week.

@nitirrbb7 that's right that's why I have notifications setting again and unchecked all options if e-mails there.

I receive emails, but rarely check them. I usually use my notifications only.

I think I only kept notifications for when people respond to my own discussions or to my responses/comments. But no point in receiving any notifications I think since we log in to mylot on a regular basis anyway. The notifications just clutter up the inbox, though for me quite a few end up in spam.

Actually you are right its worth at times when you miss some and they get cleared after 7 days, I wasn't aware of the 7 days drop off notifications earlier. Thanks to @jaboUK for mentioning it in her comment and @JolietJake for clearing my doubt regarding it

I never get emails from here, and I want to keep it that way. I can see the notifications onsite.

Yes, I am. There have been times when I wasn't able to be here, and I missed those notifications. So I keep them in their own folder on my e-mails.

I don't want any email from this site, because I come here everyday, and I can see it in the notifications.

Can you actually do that? Sometimes it really is annoying.
