Had a weird and also creepy experience today...

I was walking to my hairstylist's house to do my hair and, on the way there, I found a quarter and a dime in my community. And then I found another quarter and a dime further down. I got to her house earlier than my appointment time so decided to just walk around the community as the weather was nice. I was walking on one street and thought I saw a coin on the road. I stopped to look but couldn't see without my glasses. I wanted to come closer to look but there was a guy who was getting into his truck near me. I stood their waiting for him to drive away, except he wouldn't. I couldn't see but it felt like he was watching me, which made me feel uneasy. After some minutes passed, and it didn't seem like he would leave anytime soon, I started walking further up the street as I still had time to kill. I heard some birds chirping so I came to a stop and stood there looking at the trees trying to see where the birds were. From the corner of my eye I saw the guy in the truck driving near me. He made a U-Turn but instead of driving away he just stood there idling, which freaked me out, so I decided it was time to head to my hairstylist's house. As they say, better safe than sorry. I turned around and started to head back. The guy in the truck started driving again and was parallel to me. I felt like I was being followed, which made me feel uneasy, especially after he pulled his window down to talk to me. He asked me if I am a nurse or if I am waiting for someone. I told him no. Then he asked me if I am lost and if I need a ride anywhere. I told him I am here for a hair appointment and just walking around because I got here earlier than I should. He asked me where and after I told him the street he didn't seem to know it. Weird for someone who supposedly lives in the community. I apologized though not sure why. There was no reason to. He told me I didn't have to apologize as I did nothing wrong. He was just nervous to see a stranger here. I can understand his concern, especially when a stranger stops next to a house and is just standing there. Anyway, I am glad the guy didn't turn out to be an abductor or a killer. After the hair appointment, I decided to go back to that street to check if it was a coin that I saw. I walked about halfway there but then changed my mind. Didn't want to run into that guy again, even if he wasn't a criminal. On the way back home, I found another penny. So, I found a total of 72 cents today.

Sounds like you were both pretty wary of the other. He was nervous about you being a stranger and you were nervous about him.

I've never had anyone ask me "what are you doing here?" type of a thing. Why can't I walk around the street of a community?

@lovebuglena Maybe they have a lot of break-ins there or something. Sounds a bit strange.

I rarely find a penny on the street. You must be lucky then to have 72 cents.

I find coins time and again. I'm lucky I guess.

@rheicel I put the coins I find (or get as change at a store) into rolls and then deposit into the bank. I am thinking maybe I should start counting how much change I find outside or even inside. Just for the fun of it.

Yes. And what was weird was that both times I found exactly 35 cents, consisting of a quarter and a dime.
