Google search cannot replace your doctor

Nowadays people are searching online for solutions to their health problems instead of going to a doctor. Not a very good idea because not all stuff online is genuine. I think a doctors advise is much better than google advice.

Doctors are humans and they can be wrong at times. But not always. They know better than us.

I like to read about different medical issues as a guide only.

Yes we can read as a guide but should not try out all remedies that are seen on the internet unless we know that it is genuine.

yeah, i am guilty of this. But only when the sickness is not very severe Maybe the reason for this is that doctor's fee is expensive

The remedies suggested online are not always genuine. We should be careful when we try remedies suggested online.

Self medicating will have its pros and cons. If it is just a basic ailment, why not search for possible solutions online. But then for more serious matters, nothing really beats an advise from a Medical Doctor. The internet can sometimes help you explain certain terminologies your doctor might have told you and that's it.

Self remedies that have been tried and tested are fine. We do follow a lot of self medications that have been told to us by our grandparents. But trying something that we see online is a bit risky.

I fully agree with what you say, many things you read online are plain garbage.
