Since I own 3 donkeys, this story that hit the news in Paradise, Texas grabbed my immediate attention. Hershel Pearson (ranch owner), has a donkey named Oscar that came up missing almost 2 years ago. No explanation or reason; just gone. He checked everywhere and couldn't find him.
After all this time, Mr. Pearson went out to feed his cattle and guess who should be there? Yup, Oscar. Who knows where he's been and what he's been doing for all that time. One things for sure though, Oscar had missed his can of Dr. Pepper.
You heard that right, Oscar loves drinking Dr. Pepper. I can't even imagine a critter drinking that; can you? Maybe with all the sugar that's in it is what sent Oscar charging all over the countryside.
Where did Oscar, the Dr Pepper-drinking donkey go for two years? That's what his owners in Paradise, Texas, would like to find out.

You got that right @amadeo . And the owner never saw any damage to fencing, so Oscar must have thought he was a horse leaping hurdles.

@nanette64 maybe he was trying to find the Dr. Peppr headquarters which are in Dallas or perhaps he did find them and was guzzling Dr. Pepper all this time as their mascot until he finally got homesick

Donkeys can sure be like dogs @DianneN . Put the nose to the ground and when they look up, they go; "Where the hell am I?"

I was surprised to become a donkey owner @Luap1050 . I had rented out one of my pastures to help this guy out and once they left, I never got a penny and they never came back for the donkeys. Surprise!!!!!! The male is named Buttercup, the female is Baby and her daughter is Fuzzy Wuzzy.
