I'm really beginning to wonder. Another kid killing other kids in Kentucky today. A fifteen year old boy has shot alot of people. Every day it seems that there is something horrible like this in the news. Why? I think it is one or several of the following:
* Lack of good family values.
* Too much isolation of people both adults and children.
* ? ? ? ?
Your thoughts.

I think one of the biggest issues that nobody wants to discuss or address is the way kids are bombarded with violence. They tell us that we can’t see Road Runner cartoons because of the violence, yet kids watch all of these movies and TV shows, and play all of these video games, where the plot/object is kill. Then we wonder why they do????

It's become the normal way to handle outrage and anger. Kill.

@dgobucks226 .....I think that video games are good in a lot of ways. But the violent ones should be curbed.

You are right! All these commercials for these "Call of Duty" video games. Kids are so influenced by violence.

Parents many times are clueless about what their kids are doing. In my view, they do not pay any attention to changing patterns of behavior or other warning signs like depression. Maybe they are to self-absorbed with themselves to notice?

I think that is partially it. Conversation at the dinner table might help.

@celticeagle Yes, if they are all at the dinner table together each evening. Probably another reason to consider why parents do not know what their teens are doing or feeling.

I hadn't heard about this, nor about the tsunami warning for the west coast, either. I haven't been listening to the news lately.

kids almost never get punished for anything nowadays,so of course they think they can get away with anything.

I have no idea why it keeps happening but it really needs to be stopped.

Bad parenting and atmosphere. That's my personal thought. Why do you yhink a kid would kill another kid?

that is very sad to hear, he is quite young too
