Doctor Dean McKenzie who is the Chief of Cardiothoracic surgery at a Children's Hospital in Atlanta Georgia is being called a person who is dedicated to his work of walking a mile to get his patients to the hospital despite the roads being icy and not being able to drive an auto through the bad roads. Due to a heavy snowfall in the Atlanta area which shut down schools and non-essential government offices, the hospitals in the Atlanta region were still open. Dean decided to show up to work in the hospital despite the roads being filled with ice and snow to take care of Madden Beckwith who is the son of Laura Beckwith. Madden has congenital heart disease who had open heart surgery performed on him last month. Laura was impressed that Dean came to work while some of his colleagues could not make it to work due to the unusual cold weather in the Atlanta area.

I am very impressed by Dr. Dean McKenzie . He sure is showing high dedication to his patients.
When icy roads hit Atlanta after an arctic front moved through the state, thousands of people were stranded at home with nowhere to go.

Dr Mckenzie did a wonderful deed to get to his work by walking when he could have called in sick.

You would have to be dedicated to walk to work in such awful conditions.

You are correct Judy. I am sure Dr. McKenzie cares for his patients so much that he walked to his work from his home.

That is true because he could have called in sick instead of walking one mile to his office in the cold.
