Friends Let's move into some discussion about your family and your relation with your parents.
Parents are support for us and strength, protective. For me I am very close with my parents but never share some things with them. Yeah they are my guide and support in all my tough situations.yeah there will be things that we share with our friends that we can't share with parents.my dad call me with sweet nickname sweety,Dolly

@Icydoll My Mom passed away in 2007 and I miss her everyday. She use to call me Stoneyboney because I was 5'11" tall and weighed 130 pounds.

@Icydoll It's a strange story. I was adopted and have siblings from my adoptive family plus a load of half brothers and sisters from my biological family.

I'm closest to my Heavenly Father which is what truly matters. =)
I'm no longer a child so being close to my earthly parents has no bearing in my life.

Well me personally I am closer to my dad that is because my dad is not so judgemental like my mom. And he is very open minded when you talk to him about your problems. He is also always about making sure your happy how your living and with who you love. So thats why im a little closer to him. I am a daddys girl always will be. As for my mom she can be a handful but I love her because all things set aside she will be there for me as well when things get hard in my life even though she can be a judgy person. But all things said I love them both they mean the world to me because at the end of the day they did everything to provide for me and my siblings I am one out of 7 me being the oldest of them all. And I have no nickname for my dad I just call him dad and my mom I call her my minion

@Icydoll yeah I love him alot well both of them :) and they could be but the way my parents are raising them they dont know the value of a hardworking dollar sadly. They are turning rude and spoiled. Yeah I gave it to her since she is kind of short. and she calls me doritios and so does my dad sometimes.

I'm very close to my mother. I'm not that close to my father and we don't talk a lot. He is not so sweet to me like my mother who always hugs me when I'm a little kid

My mom is the one I am the closest. My father he errr I never knew him as a kid he left my mom before I was born. I saw him the 1st time at 16. Well I love my dad thou he is funny. But he hates me so I'll pick my mom. I'm closer to her. Unfortunately she is not.

@Icydoll I don't know the reason but he said he hates me. Maybe my mother knows the answer but she wouldn't tell me. And I have no kids. Btw my father was already married and fooled my mother and marry her. He already has 5 kids when he married my mom.

Well, my mother is no more. I was closest to her. Apart from being loving and caring, when we started to grow up, she was also a dear friend and guided us in many ways. There are good memories with my father too. But then fathers do tend to keep a distance with some exceptions and a father-child relationship cannot be compared to a Mother-child relationship.

I was just ten when I lost my father and yes we were all close to him as he never scolded us but referred the matter to mother (lol) Mother had responsibilities and so could not afford to mollycoddle us.

As a little girl, I tried to be close with my mother. But, as I grew up my father and I could talk about almost anything. He use to help me with my homework. Yes, my father called me 'Dolly' at times, but it never became a nickname.

@Icydoll No, never had nicknames. And our relationship was more reverse. I was the mother figure and i protected her. She was a very nice person but too trusting.
