Prawn curry with sweet potatoes

It was boiled sweet potatoes with a dash of hazel nut choco spread that I tried recently and wrote a post about it.I Iiked it but there was an interesting reaction from @much2say 's kids. in that post

Interesting reaction 
. The kids are in school right now, but I KNOW they would totally go for this one. They LOVE shrimp - which is essentially like prawn 
. I've had many curries, but I don't think a prawn one . . . but this combination sounds yummy . Thanks for the mention

The curry gets absorbed into sweet potatoes giving them a yummier taste. I will make this again. I used to add potatoes earlier but it will be sweet potatoes from now on.

@allknowing Is this is recipe you created on your own? I think sweet potatoes would make a good balance with curry - although I do love curries with potatoes too. I asked the kids and they said they would eat it !

@much2say We have a standard 'masala' for curries which is ground and frozen. Yes adding sweet potatoes was my idea

The sweet potato absorbs the taste of the curry/prawns and you know what that means. You must try this.

We never tried cooking prawns with curry although we do it often with chicken and beef cooked in coconut milk and mixed with carrots and potatoes ( not sweet) big prawns are a little bit on the pricey side here, I would try to cook a dish similar to yours one day.

We cook prawn curry with brinjals, lady fingers and potatoes and make several other dishes with them including rice pullao. This was an experiment. These are medium sized prawns. Yes. king sized prawns are expensive here as well.
