In 1921 the best song was sung by Fanny Brice. It was “Second Hand Rose” and the song made its debut to a new generation when Barbara Streisand portrayed Fanny Brice in the musical “Funny Girl”. Fanny Brice made the song all her own in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1921. How many of you know this song? Who has seen Funny Girl?
Charted at #3 in March 1922. Great song! Introduced by Fanny Brice in the "Ziegfeld Follies of 1921". Another version by Ted Lewis and His Band charted at #2...

@RasmaSandra Oh, definitely! She said that Barb was very pretty in person. Barb also sat in front of my DIL's sister at Hamilton on Broadway, for whatever that's worth. lol

Took me some moments to remember where I had heard this name. Yes, a show with Fanny Brice and just saw they have some clips on YouTube will take a look. Way before my time but being interested in Old Hollywood and all kinds of old showbiz things I had heard of Baby Snooks @JohnRoberts
